1st Rosenheim LIGNA.Conference – event cancellation

It's just been announced that the 1st Rosenheim LIGNA.Conference, scheduled for 1–2 June 2022, will no longer take place. "At this stage, unfortunately, it's not possible to host an event that would be satisfactory for all participating parties," says Stephanie Wagner, Head of LIGNA. "The ebbing, but still remaining effects of the COVID-19 crisis, an ongoing hesitancy to travel among companies, and most of all full schedules due to postponed events and a resulting event density in the summer months, are unfavourable circumstances for the 1st Rosenheim LIGNA.Conference."

In addition, priorities continue to shift due to disrupted supply chains, material shortages as well as resource availability. The LIGNA.Conference's target group is currently heavily involved in the dynamic and challenging daily business, so therefore only limited capacities are available to pursue strategic conference topics.

Prof. Andreas Heinzmann from Rosenheim Technical University of Applied Sciences, says: "We regret that the good cooperation with Deutsche Messe AG and the LIGNA team did not result in the event we'd hoped for, which would also have meant great added value for our students and network."

The topics planned for LIGNA.Conference will now be covered at LIGNA.23 – the world's leading trade fair for the woodworking and wood processing industry – which will take place in Hannover, Germany from 15–19 May 2023.
