MEM Industrial 2022 boosts business in the woodworking & furniture industry

The recently-held MEM Industrial 2022 exhibition attracted professional international buyers from Asia, Europe, North America and Latin America, as well as each of Mexico's 32 states

The results of the MEM Industrial 2022, the leading trade show in Mexico catering for the woodworking and furniture industry, were recently announced by event director, Azul Ogazón.

"One of the most noteworthy aspects of the 2022 event was its contribution to industry-related business on a local, national and international level, which can be attributed to the participation of professional buyers from 11 countries, namely the USA, Spain, Italy and Colombia, as well as attendees from every state in Mexico, but principally the Bajío region, Central and West Mexico, giving a grand total of more than 4,000 visitors."

Regarding the show's content, this encompassed the entire supply chain, from forestry sector through to Industry 4.0 technologies applied to woodworking and the manufacture of furniture. The conference program featured 17 panelists and seven mentorships, which focused on three main themes: Innovation, the Circular Economy and Design.

Other highlights included the second edition of the COBO2 awards presented by the National Wood-Processing Industry Chamber (CANAINMA) and the third edition of the 'Make-A-Thon Makers for Good, Reinventing the Furniture Industry' competition. More than 200 leading brands representing the industry's entire value chain participated in MEM Industrial 2022. Centro Citibanamex welcomed over 4,000 visitors to its 9,500sq.m of exhibition space between 29-31 March. The event attracted professional international buyers from Asia, Europe, North America and Latin America, as well as each of Mexico's 32 states.
