Wood Taiwan hosts Digital Days from 22–25 April as warm up for 2022 exhibition

The Taiwan International Woodworking Machinery Show (Wood Taiwan) was originally scheduled to take place in April this year. It has now been postponed until 28 April to 1 May 1, 2022, and will be held in Hall 1 of the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. In the meantime, to help visitors and exhibitors grab new business opportunities, the organisers, TAITRA and TWMA, have announced the launch of Wood Taiwan Digital Days. Running from 22–25 April, 2021, the original exhibition dates, this series of online and offline activities hopes to break through time and space constraints and act as a warm up for the 2022 exhibition.

Wood Taiwan Digital Days will feature three major events: WOODiscover-Factory Tours, Emerging Market Webinars, and Online Procurement Meetings. The WOODiscover-Factory Tours will offer an in-depth understanding of new products and the actual operating conditions in the factories of leading Taiwanese manufacturers such as Leadermac Machinery, Kuang Yung Machinery, Jun Shiau Machinery, Kaindl, Innovator Machinery, Lih Woei Carpentry Machine, OVA Equipment & Tool and Goodtek Machinery. The Emerging Market Webinars, targeted at viewers in Vietnam, Russia and Brazil, and organised in cooperation with local associations, will showcase field applications, which cope with the demands of emerging markets. Videos of all of these events will be aired on the TTS D’channel.

Finally, as many potential buyers are unable to travel to Taiwan due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the organisers will arrange Online Procurement Meetings (TTS Match) on the first day of the Wood Taiwan Digital Days. TAITRA’s 64 overseas offices have been inviting buyers from across the world to participate. So far, buyers from 17 countries have signed up to take part, with specific procurement requirements including veneer and plywood processing machines, sanding machines, secondary wood processing and material preparation equipment.

Those interested in participating are invited to contact the Taiwan Trade Centre in London for more information, see https://london.taiwantrade.com/home.
