SD Hardware launches Joiners Forum – an online community for the joinery industry

SD Hardware Ltd has always had a passion for the timber window and door industry and appreciates the craftsmanship involved in producing quality items, from sash, flush casement and stormproof windows, to front entrance, French and bi-fold doors. These products are beautifully engineered pieces of timber with fantastic sustainability credentials; however, like most industries, various problems exist, especially given the labour insensitivity involved. As an industry supplier, one of the main issues highlighted is the lack of support, particularly when it comes to understanding the often complicated regulations.

To help solve these problems and promote communication, SDH has launched Joiners Forum – an online community website/app for people in the joinery industry – which allows them to share ideas and knowledge, discuss issues and chat with like-minded people. This is a standalone social platform, so anyone with an invite can join and no other social media accounts such as Facebook for example, are required on sign up.

According to SDH, the following statement perfectly sums up the idea behind Joiners Forum: “We bring together timber window and door joiners from around the UK, to share ideas, practical experience, and challenges with each other, so that we can better support the people in our industry and build a community that increases in value with each new person that joins.”If you’d like to become part of the community and start connecting and learning from fellow joiners and others in the industry, visit www.joinersforum.com, and for more information on SDH, see www.joinersforum.com.
