An iconic figure in the woodworking industry for over 40 years, Gerd Ney of NEY Ltd, sadly passed away on Saturday 11 March aged 82, from complications arising from a short illness.

Gerd built his fledgling company to become one of the leading brands in the UK and Ireland, and was instrumental in starting up hundreds of new businesses during this time.

We send our condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and the many industry and business associates Gerd created around the globe.

"He'll be greatly missed, but his legacy will remain," commented Shahana Kishver on behalf of the company.
