SAM, the UK’s leading manufacturer of MDF mouldings, was delighted to receive the 2022 Jewson ‘Overall Supplier of The Year’ award, as the business goes from strength to strength.

After two category nominations, the Antrim-based company was thrilled to win the ‘Best Marketing Support’ category in addition to also being recognised as ‘Overall Supplier of the Year’.

Gerard Wilson, Sales Director at SAM, comments: “We're very honoured to receive two award wins from Jewson. The recognition and reward for our efforts and hard work to bring the best products to our network means a lot at this time. Our team has worked very diligently to adapt to challenges faced over the past few years and works extremely closely with Jewson. The annual Jewson awards took place on 14 December at The Vox in Resorts World, Birmingham, and were presented among industry professionals and the supplier network.

Lisa Young, Jewson Commercial Director commented on SAM’s ‘Overall Supplier of the Year’ win: “Proactivity and collaboration are the words used to describe this supplier by colleagues from all parts of Jewson. Despite challenges throughout 2022, SAM's approach has been positive and results-driven throughout. Communications are open and honest, which has built a genuine level of trust with this supplier. Special mentions to Lisa Lynch and Michelle McNeill for their outstanding support!”

The award comes at an important time for SAM as it sets its sights on a big year ahead, as Gerard Wilson says: “At the end of 2022, we announced a £1m investment in our product range and introduction of a new primed finish, and that’s just the start of what’s in store. 2023 will further demonstrate our commitment to the supplier and merchant network as we soon unveil further investment and products.”

The scale of operation at SAM’s two manufacturing sites allows the business to supply large amounts of product to the merchant network. This strengthens the product offering, allowing its customers to service their own customer network efficiently, during what's currently a challenging time for merchants.
