Manufacturers of timber windows and doors can now obtain the Roto Inowa sliding system from Coastal Group. The partnership between the companies also makes specific tooling available.

Roto markets the Inowa system as a premium product, emphasising its weathersealing properties, wide size ranges and ease of use. A patented locking arrangement – unique to the system – compresses the circumferential gasket on all four sides of the sliding sash when closed.

The maximum weight of a sliding sash is 400kg and the maximum sash sizes range from 3,000mm tall to 3,600mm wide, with a width-height ratio of 3:1 being possible within Roto’s standard specification.

Coastal is supplying the SoftClose option as standard, which ensures a gentle, controlled closing action. A further SoftOpen function, to assist users when sliding the unit open, is available as an additional extra.

Roto recommends the Inowa system for a wide range of applications, including installations exposed to extreme weather, such as driving rain and high winds.
